Murata recommends a PCB layout with a solid copper plane under the module, and thermal vias to dissipate heat. A minimum of 2oz copper thickness is recommended.
Ensure that the input voltage rises monotonically and does not droop during start-up. A soft-start circuit can be added to limit the inrush current.
The maximum allowable capacitance on the output is 2200uF. Exceeding this value may cause instability or oscillation.
The 482R2SC is rated for operation up to 85°C ambient temperature. However, derating may be necessary for temperatures above 70°C. Consult the datasheet for derating curves.
Check for proper input voltage, output capacitance, and PCB layout. Ensure that the output voltage sense lines are properly connected and not noisy. Consult the application note for troubleshooting guidelines.
