A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the input and output capacitors close to the IC, and use a low-ESR capacitor for the output filter.
Monitor the input voltage, output voltage, and output current to ensure they are within the specified ranges. Also, ensure the device is operated within the recommended temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
The EN (enable) pin is used to enable or disable the device. Connect EN to VIN to enable the device, or connect it to GND to disable it. You can also use an external signal to control the EN pin.
Choose an inductor with a value between 1.5 μH and 3.3 μH, depending on the output voltage and current requirements. A higher inductor value can reduce the output ripple, but may increase the device's size and cost.
The DIR9001PW can deliver up to 2 A of output current, but the actual current capability depends on the input voltage, output voltage, and thermal conditions.
