Up to 256 devices can be connected to a single 1-Wire bus, but the maximum number of devices that can be practically connected depends on the bus capacitance, wire length, and other system parameters.
To ensure reliable communication over long distances, use a 1-Wire bus repeater, such as the DS2482-100, to amplify and re-time the 1-Wire signal. Additionally, use a shielded cable and follow proper wiring and termination practices.
The recommended power-up sequence is to apply VCC first, followed by the 1-Wire bus signal. This ensures that the device is properly initialized and ready to communicate.
Implement a retry mechanism in your software to handle errors and retries. The DS2432P+ has a built-in error detection mechanism, and the host can retry the command if an error is detected.
The DS2432P+ has a minimum data retention period of 10 years at 25°C, but the actual retention period may be longer depending on the storage conditions and quality of the device.
