A thermal pad on the bottom of the package should be connected to a large copper area on the PCB to dissipate heat. A minimum of 2oz copper thickness is recommended. Additionally, vias should be placed under the thermal pad to connect to a solid copper plane on the bottom layer.
The FMMT624TC requires a bias voltage of 2.5V to 5.5V on the VCC pin. A decoupling capacitor of 1uF to 10uF should be placed close to the VCC pin to filter out noise. Additionally, a pull-up resistor of 1kΩ to 10kΩ should be connected between the VCC pin and the output pin to ensure proper biasing.
The maximum current rating for the output pin is 100mA. Exceeding this current may cause damage to the device. It is recommended to add a current-limiting resistor in series with the output pin to prevent overcurrent conditions.
The FMMT624TC has built-in ESD protection, but additional protection measures can be taken. A TVS diode or a zener diode can be connected between the input pins and the power supply to protect against overvoltage. Additionally, a series resistor can be added to the input pins to limit the current in case of an ESD event.
The recommended operating temperature range for the FMMT624TC is -40°C to 125°C. Operating the device outside of this range may affect its performance and reliability.
