A 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias under the IC is recommended. Keep the input and output capacitors close to the IC and use short, wide traces for the power paths.
Ensure that the output capacitor has a low ESR and is placed close to the IC. Also, use a minimum of 10uF output capacitance and ensure that the output voltage is within the specified range.
The maximum input voltage is 26V, but it's recommended to keep it below 24V for optimal performance and reliability.
Use the formula: Pd = (Vin - Vout) x Iout x Efficiency. The efficiency can be obtained from the datasheet or calculated using the formula: Efficiency = (Vout x Iout) / (Vin x Iin).
A 10uF to 22uF X5R or X7R ceramic capacitor is recommended, placed as close to the IC as possible.
