A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate analog ground plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital grounds separate and connect them at a single point. Use a low-ESR capacitor for decoupling and place it close to the device.
Use a high-quality input capacitor (e.g., X5R or X7R) with a value between 1-10uF, and place it close to the VIN pin. Ensure the input voltage is within the recommended range (2.7V to 5.5V) and the output capacitor is within the recommended range (1uF to 10uF).
The REF2025AIDDCT can deliver up to 50mA of output current. However, it's recommended to limit the output current to 20mA or less to ensure optimal performance and minimize power dissipation.
Use a low-ESR output capacitor (e.g., X5R or X7R) with a value between 1uF to 10uF. Place the capacitor close to the VOUT pin and ensure the PCB layout is designed to minimize noise coupling. You can also add a 10nF to 100nF capacitor in parallel with the output capacitor to further reduce noise.
The REF2025AIDDCT has a thermal derating of 6.4mW/°C above 25°C. Ensure the device is operated within the recommended operating temperature range (-40°C to 125°C) and provide adequate heat sinking or thermal management to prevent overheating.
