Store the component in a dry, dark place at room temperature (20°C to 30°C) and humidity below 60%. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, moisture, and extreme temperatures.
Handle the component by the body, avoiding touching the optical surfaces. Use an anti-static wrist strap or mat to prevent electrostatic discharge. Avoid bending, flexing, or applying excessive force to the component.
Use a soldering profile with a peak temperature of 260°C (500°F) for 10-15 seconds. Ensure the component is not exposed to temperatures above 280°C (536°F) for more than 3 seconds.
The SFH617A-3X016 is rated for operation up to 100°C (212°F). For applications above 100°C, consult with Vishay Intertechnologies or a qualified engineer to ensure the component's reliability and performance.
Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth or a cotton swab to gently wipe the optical surfaces. Avoid using chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials that may damage the component.
