A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital sections separate, and use a common mode filter to reduce EMI.
Use a thermal pad or a heat sink to dissipate heat. Ensure good airflow around the device, and avoid blocking the thermal pads. Monitor the junction temperature (Tj) to prevent overheating.
Use a low-ESR capacitor for the power supply decoupling, and ensure the voltage regulator can provide a stable output voltage within the recommended range. Add a ferrite bead or a pi-filter to reduce noise and EMI.
Use a logic analyzer or an oscilloscope to monitor the signals and identify the issue. Check the power supply, clock signals, and reset lines. Verify the correct configuration of the device and the firmware.
Use an ESD wrist strap or mat, and handle the device by the body or pins, not the leads. Store the device in an anti-static bag or tube. Avoid touching the device's pins or leads during handling.
