    TPS2095D Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

    • The TPS2095D can source up to 1.5A of current per channel, but it's recommended to limit it to 1A per channel for reliable operation.
    • To ensure fast and efficient channel switching, make sure to use a low-ESR capacitor (e.g., ceramic or film capacitor) for the bypass capacitor (CBP) and keep the PCB layout clean and short.
    • The EN (enable) pin is used to enable or disable the entire device. When EN is low, the device is in shutdown mode, and all channels are turned off. When EN is high, the device is enabled, and the channels operate normally.
    • The TPS2095D has built-in OCP and SCP features. When an overcurrent or short-circuit condition is detected, the device will limit the current or shut down the channel to prevent damage. You can adjust the OCP threshold by setting the RSENSE resistor value.
    • To minimize EMI and noise, keep the power traces short and wide, use a solid ground plane, and place the bypass capacitor (CBP) close to the device. Also, avoid routing sensitive signals near the power traces and use shielding or guard rings if necessary.
