A 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. The device should be placed near a thermal pad or a heat sink to dissipate heat efficiently.
Monitor the input voltage, output voltage, and output current to ensure they are within the recommended operating ranges. Also, ensure the device is operated within the recommended ambient temperature range.
A low-ESR ceramic capacitor with a value of 10uF to 22uF is recommended for input decoupling. The capacitor should be placed as close to the device as possible.
The output voltage ripple can be calculated using the formula: ΔVout = (Iout * ESL) / (Cout * fsw), where ESL is the equivalent series inductance of the output capacitor, Cout is the output capacitance, and fsw is the switching frequency.
A low-ESR ceramic capacitor with a value of 22uF to 47uF is recommended for output filtering. The capacitor should be placed as close to the device as possible.
