A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. The device should be placed near the USB connector, and the differential pairs should be routed together with a 90-ohm impedance.
The VBUS pin should be powered up first, followed by the VCC pin. The VBUS pin should be powered down last to prevent backpowering the device.
The maximum cable length supported is 3 meters, but this can be extended up to 5 meters with the use of active cables or repeaters.
The device supports high-speed data transmission up to 480 Mbps. To implement high-speed transmission, the device should be configured in high-speed mode, and the USB 2.0 protocol should be followed.
The device has built-in ESD protection, but additional external ESD protection devices can be used to further protect the device from electrostatic discharge.
